Maison Cointreau is reinventing the Art of Cocktail and Set. Long live Vincent Darré-style Margarita! The “serial antique hunter” designer has conceived and designed a surrealistic set (it is literally its name). LE COFFRET “SURRÉALISTE” MARGARITA, an extremely limited-edition set invented by this ingenious creator. The result of several months’ meticulous work, it combines a second-hand vintage glass duo (7 different models) from one of the biggest flea markets in Paris, an Art Deco-inspired penguin cocktail shaker, and, of course, the famous bottle of Original Cointreau Margarita in a dedicated range designed by the artist.
A small Dadaist gem of modern times, which gave us a lot of hard work.

It’s July, the summer closing is looming. A phone call, like a gunshot.
A set. Ok. Decoration being rolled out. OK. A unique content for each one…. Ah.
Tic-toc, it’s extremely urgent!
MR MOCK-UP LAB takes over the project: from surprise to colour, this set deserves due attention to render its quirky stance. Let’s stay realistic to let surrealism flourish…
– Developing the rather gigantic blank shape, which goes the same distance as the Margarita ;-)) and will support the decoration with two lovely, entirely customised cardboard planks. Look at these two profiles facing one another, they’re all you can see.
– A magnetic closing mechanism. One-off high-density foam packing boxes, undetectable. We accepted the challenge.
– A remarkable sensory appeal. The cardboard selection undergoes multicolour print tests, everyone will agree on the reverse side of Algro Design.
The marketing team is a bit worried about the decoration finish and brightness but not us thanks to our Digital Offset printing and its liquid inks, which, opening up new perspectives, immediately soak paper on demand. Convenient for Press Proof adjustments! Indispensable to render the bold, bright colours cherished by Vincent Darré. Technical expertise requires no compromise.
By the way, we owe a special dedication to MR ARTWORKS for their work on the production docs, which contributed greatly to getting the desired results. Multicolour calibration (7 colours to compose yours, we can achieve 99% of the Pantone colours), very refined selective finishes, varnish on text areas and 3D varnish to add volume to logos.
