{"id":2538,"date":"2025-07-28T11:27:42","date_gmt":"2025-07-28T09:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/?p=2538"},"modified":"2025-07-28T11:37:22","modified_gmt":"2025-07-28T09:37:22","slug":"mr-bottega-veneta-montebello","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/mr-bottega-veneta-montebello\/","title":{"rendered":"MR x Bottega Veneta Montebello \u2013 A splash of sustainable craftsmanship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear customers, dear partners,<\/p>\n<p>After the 2024 launch of Bottega Veneta\u2019s Exclusive Collection,<strong> Kering Beaut\u00e9 confirmed its \u201cOne House\u201d approach, creating Montebello in a fashion and fragrance duet <\/strong>led by<strong> Junior Brand Manager Chlo\u00e9 Villedieu.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Bottega Veneta, every creation in the exclusive fragrance collection is a tribute to Venetian elegance. <strong>Montebello is a splash of freshness and elegance<\/strong> \u2013 a generous Eau de Toilette for indulging in the <em>dolce vita<\/em> on the Riviera. <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>The packaging combines minimalist simplicity for the bottle and the sophistication of <em>intrecciato<\/em> \u2013 the House\u2019s signature pattern \u2013 for the case, all in a highly sustainable plastic-free design.\u201d<\/strong> <\/span>And that\u2019s why Chlo\u00e9 drew <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/\">MR<\/a><\/span><\/strong> into the dance.<\/p>\n<p>Here at <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/\">MR<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, <strong>we applied our own \u201cOne House\u201d formula to this project, <\/strong>with bespoke design assistance by <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/mock-up-lab\/\">MR MOCK-UP LAB<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and the exclusive, confidential production of a thousand pieces by <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/factory\/\">MR FACTORY<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span> We loved it! We got to fine-tune our technical approach, carry out creative and reactive development, and produce the boxes <strong>in industrial craftsmanship mode<\/strong> <strong>\ud83d\ude09<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve known MR since early on in my career. I work with them on my case mock-ups. They\u2019re very technical and flexible, always offering great problem-solving advice while meeting deadlines, which are invariably very tight. <strong>No procrastinators here.<\/strong> We know how to work very efficiently without ever sacrificing quality.\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">They work \u201cback to front.\u201d <\/span><\/strong>They challenge the methods needed to achieve the objective, even if it means adjusting the initial plan. It&#8217;s very pleasant and easy, we work hand in hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/mock-up-lab\/\">MR MOCK-UP LAB<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u2019s side of things, the challenge was clear: translate the House\u2019s <strong><em>intrecciato<\/em> braiding pattern<\/strong> into precise, textured embossing that stayed true to the original leatherwork. However, we needed an <strong>industrial approach to detail so that later production could go flawlessly. <\/strong>We had to <strong>calibrate and test reliefs <\/strong>until we got <strong>the feel of leather<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>while remaining faithful to the fashion design.<\/strong> <\/span>It required reviewing the embossing levels, modifying our tools, adjusting the pressure on this <strong>finely-grained, hyper-fragile paper<\/strong>, and creating a very subtle effect that was soft, vivid, very visible, and not likely to tear. <strong>It needed secondary modifications, without changing the original file.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Finding the perfect shade<\/strong> \u2013 the &#8220;right&#8221; light gray that was fresh and translucent (but ready to roll out) \u2013 required a meticulous, arduous, but invigorating CAM session!<\/p>\n<p>Whether applied \u201csimply\u201d or chiseled with a<strong> diamond-tip bit, <\/strong>the glossy black hot stamping process on this unpredictable <strong>Tokyo paper<\/strong> presented us with a real challenge.<\/p>\n<p>When it was <strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/factory\/\">MR FACTORY<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u2019s turn to <strong>launch production,<\/strong> <strong>there were no surprises.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our strength lies in being able to <strong>industrialize the exception to the rule<\/strong>, even in <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>very small batches<\/strong>.<\/span><br \/>\nDigital printing down to the unit, specific pre-validated tools, strict calibration on the effects of material and shade: <strong>each case is produced to the same exacting standards as a large run<\/strong> and gives us a <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>perfectly homogeneous<\/strong><\/span> result. \u201cTo do this, we defined color and relief triptychs. We simply made CAMs. It\u2019s very important for me to have a partner who understands <strong>the fashion world\u2019s high quality standards and naturally plans for them<\/strong>. We can focus on what\u2019s important: the sensory story told by the packaging.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A big thank you to Chlo\u00e9 for their trust and their newest challenges. We loved getting to <strong>combine our mock-up and production expertise<\/strong> on the same project.
