{"id":2325,"date":"2024-05-02T09:10:03","date_gmt":"2024-05-02T09:10:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/?p=2325"},"modified":"2024-05-02T09:10:03","modified_gmt":"2024-05-02T09:10:03","slug":"launching-soon-the-island-cosmetics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/launching-soon-the-island-cosmetics\/","title":{"rendered":"Launching soon: The Island Cosmetics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear customers, dear partners,<\/p>\n<p>The best part of our job is being right at the heart of creation.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/mock-up-lab\/\"><strong>MR MOCK-UP LAB<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0helps the biggest brands in fragrance, spirits, and everything in between to bring their designs, new products, and ideas to life.\u00a0<strong>Here at\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/factory\/\"><strong>MR FACTORY<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<strong>we often support newcomers as they launch their brands,\u00a0<\/strong>and it&#8217;s a real pleasure<strong>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This time, we wanted to tell you about\u00a0<strong>our collaboration with Sarra Beldi Vencatachellum<\/strong>, whose\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>THE ISLAND COSMETICS<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0products will be coming your way shortly. The launching of a brand often comes down to chance encounters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIt all began with an emotional blow.<\/strong>\u00a0A family member was diagnosed with skin cancer.\u00a0<strong>The sun is devastating on the island of R\u00e9union.<\/strong>\u00a0I\u2019d always been into beauty and makeup, and having now become more health-conscious, I adapted my routine.\u00a0<strong>Suncream. Foundation.<\/strong>\u00a0It was harder than I thought. With the help of a dermatologist, I discovered that there\u2019s absolutely no compatibility between applications. So I decided to create\u00a0<strong>an innovative face product<\/strong>\u00a0to really combine beauty and protection.\u00a0It took over\u00a0<strong>4 years for The Island Cosmetics to see the light of day, with a perfect-coverage foundation that boasts an SPF 50 rating.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarra learned the intensive process behind creating a cosmetics brand.<\/strong>\u00a0She chose a laboratory that could create clean, natural formulas, went through testing, checks, regulations, different certification operating procedures, acquired the COSMOS NATURAL label (meaning a minimum of 98% natural-origin ingredients), found standards, complied with quality and compatibility constraints, and opted for an Airless bottle.\u00a0<strong>She raised all the capital she needed on fundraising platform Ulule in only 4 days!<\/strong>\u00a0She developed her start-up with passion and vigour.<\/p>\n<p>When the time came to create secondary packaging, however, she was at a loss.<strong>\u00a0Eva Lagarde, a consultant on sustainable companies, pointed her in the direction of\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/factory\/\"><strong>MR FACTORY<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cThere\u2019s no one better than\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/\"><strong>MR<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>they really help small brands out<\/strong><\/span>\u201d. A huge thanks to Eva for your trust and for putting in a good word.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey immediately understood my project. I told my story.\u00a0<strong>I wanted an experience.<\/strong>\u00a0I wanted\u00a0<strong>a box, a case, a beautiful and encouraging object that tells a story.<\/strong>\u00a0AND I wanted the\u00a0<strong>lowest possible climate impact<\/strong>.\u00a0We immediately clicked!\u201d\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>The whole project was full of mutual trust.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0We\u00a0<strong>designed the shape<\/strong>, created\u00a0<strong>blank mock-ups<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>conveyed the case\u2019s visual identity<\/strong>, and used a\u00a0<strong>folded cardstock with an integrated brace<\/strong>\u00a0(delivered as a flat-pack \u2013 perfect for shipping and stocking).\u00a0<strong>No glue required.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe final design features acrylic varnish,\u00a0<strong>water-based inks<\/strong>, minimalist decorations, FSC-certified cardboard, and to round it off, it\u2019s as light as a feather.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Can\u2019t get any cleaner than that.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A subtle, double-embossed palm frond adds a pleasant texture reminiscent of the soft, shaded shelter of a palm tree \u2013 and the protection this product offers.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/artworks\/\"><strong>MR ARTWORKS<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<strong>fine-tuned the decorations<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>depicted each of the 10 available shades<\/strong>\u00a0on the box-case\u2019s sides. After many WhatsApp videos and submissions via an ever-fickle Fedex, we capped off our\u00a0<strong>6 months of development with an impeccable first run of 10 x 1,000 pieces.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrcartonnagenumerique.com\/en\/factory\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">MR FACTORY<\/span><\/strong><\/a><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">\u2019s strength lies in its digital assets, speed, and zero-stock, zero-waste benefits.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>That\u2019s what allows us to\u00a0<strong>create small-scale runs at accessible price points<\/strong>. Our knowledge of the packaging industry, trends, and brand identity is entirely at your service, as are our financial and CSR\u00a0<strong>design instincts<\/strong>, whether for shop aisles or logistics. We love sharing our knowledge, and we know that a successful launch is a great indicator of what is to come \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><strong>Big thanks to Sarra for entrusting us with this project.
